MARCH 21, 2025 - Historical marker in honor of little walter
Little Walter will be remembered forever for many reasons, including a stretch of road named after him, in Marksville, Louisiana!
A ceremony took place at the corner of Leviege and Benjamin in Marksville, LA. Executive Director of Tourism for Louisiana introduced Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser and the Mayor of Marksville along with Buddy Guy, and Little Walter’s daughter Marion Diaz.

The Little Walter Foundation was proud to join other Women of the Blues, and represent Little Walter at a wonderful event held by Lynn Orman Weiss.
DECEMBER 15, 2024 - REAVIS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CHARITY
On Sunday December 15, The Little Walter foundation, along with increased faith ministry church, helped feed over 200 people at Reavis elementary school for the holiday.
AUGUST 16, 2024 - LITTLE WALTER FOUNDATION BENEFIT
On August 16 we held the first annual Little Walter Foundation Benefit for charity. It was a wonderful day full of music and friendship featuring the presentation of a coat that once belonged to Little Walter himself!

At the Little Walter Foundation Benefit Marion Diaz was honored to be presented with a coat once owned by her father. It will be included in a upcoming exhibit at the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in Cleveland, OH.

MAY 3, 2024 - LITTLE WALTER BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION & MOVIE SCREENING
On May 3, we celebrated the birthday of the legendary Little Walter with a special screening of the iconic Cadillac Records movie, followed by an engaging discussion. And cake!
